Welcome Camp Haiastan Alumni
Dear Camp Haiastan Alumni:
Ever wonder what happended to that kid who never took a shower for two weeks, or the “dishrag” that you were going to marry? Where is your unger, ungerouhi or Baron now and which of your cabinmates still considers your greatest achievement in life to stack empty cereal boxes so high that they touched the Dining Hall ceiling? Or, how about the night that your best friend shaved off half of your right eyebrow while you slept? The Camp Haiastan Alumni Association has come to the rescue to answer those burning questions (and give you something else to do when you should be working).
Did you know that Camp Haiastan is launching an Alumni Association? Whether you were a camper, staff member, parent of a camper or staff member, volunteer, picnic goer or supporter of Camp Haiastan in any way, the Camp Haiastan Alumni Association (CHAA) is dedicated to making the post-Camp Haiastan experience as fun and fulfilling as the wonderful summer experience that you first enjoyed in a place where now three generations have called home.
The Camp Haiastan Alumni Association (CHAA) is yours, and it is only as good as you make it. Some of the ongoing goals of the CHAA:
- Get back in touch with old camp friends.
- Meet new friends who were part of the same Camp Haiastan environment we all share.
- Gather and maintain up-to-date alumni contact information.
- Make business connections.
- Build a tight-knit network of camp alumni.
- Provide a safe and secure networking site.
- Post camp bulletins, old photos and notify volunteers.
- Recruit new campers
- Raise money to assist the camp with projects now and for the future.
- Elicit ideas from members about what the CHAA should be doing.
Camp Haiastan is a special place that we all hold close to our heart. We now have an opportunity to rejoin a community of people we may remember like it was yesterday, or may not even have met.
Guh desnaveenk, see you soon!
