HR Practices Volunteer for Camp Haiastan
Job Summary:
The HR Practices Volunteer for Camp Haiastan will be responsible for providing professional human resources expertise to support the camp's HR policies and practices. This individual will work closely with the camp's Executive Director and Board to develop and implement effective HR programs that align with the camp's mission and values while complying with HR laws.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the camp's management team to develop HR policies and procedures that are compliant with federal and state regulations.
- Review and revise current HR policies and procedures to ensure they are up-to-date and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to the Executive Director and Camp Board on employee relations matters, including performance management, discipline, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct audits of employee files to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Assist with HR projects, such as the development of an employee handbook, creation of performance evaluation tools, and other HR initiatives.
- Assist with other HR-related projects and duties as assigned by the camp's management team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field.
- Professional certification in human resources (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
- Experience working in a human resources role, with a strong understanding of HR policies and practices.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Passion for working with children and supporting the mission of Camp Haiastan.
- Experience with HR policies to comply with Massachusetts state laws.
Time Commitment:
This is a volunteer position with a time commitment of approximately 5 hours per month.
Camp Haiastan Fundraising Committee Leader Volunteer
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Fundraising Committee as a Volunteer. In this role, you will be responsible for driving fundraising activities to support Camp Haiastans programs. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in fundraising and a proven track record of success in this field.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a fundraising plan for Camp Haiastan
- Identify and research potential donors and sponsors for the our camp
- Build relationships with donors, sponsors, and other stakeholders to increase funding and support for Camp Haiastan
- Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns, including online and offline initiatives
- Track and report on fundraising progress and results to Camp Haiastans Executive Director and Board
- Collaborate with other volunteers and staff members to achieve fundraising goals
Requirements:
- Prior experience in fundraising, with a proven track record of success in this field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors and sponsors
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Knowledge of fundraising best practices and strategies
- Passion for Camp Haiastan
Time Commitment:
This is a volunteer position with a time commitment of approximately 5 hours per month.
